Why Google suspends accounts
The most common reasons people come to me with:
- Ad policy violations: prohibited products or services, misleading claims in ads.
- Misrepresentation: the site lacks contacts, business details, return terms or a privacy policy, or the business information is inaccurate.
- Suspicious payment activity: someone else's card, declined payments, mismatched payer details.
- Circumventing systems: creating new accounts after a suspension, cloaking the site.
- Unfinished advertiser verification.
What to do, step by step
- Read the notice in Google Ads carefully: it names the policy that was violated. Everything else depends on it.
- Open that policy in Google's help center and compare it with your site and ads.
- Fix the site: contacts, address or business details, service descriptions, prices, privacy policy, payment and return terms.
- Check the payments profile: the details must match the real business owner.
- If Google asks for advertiser verification, complete it.
- Submit an appeal: briefly describe what you changed and where it can be seen on the site.
What not to do
- Do not create a new account to replace the suspended one: it violates the circumventing-systems policy, and the suspension can spread to all linked accounts.
- Do not send appeal after appeal without changing anything on the site.
- Do not trust anyone who guarantees reinstatement: only Google makes that decision.
If it is unclear which policy was violated, or an appeal has already been rejected, I can review the situation and help prepare the fixes and the appeal.
